Mixed Media Sculpture Course

January 16 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

ART AND DESIGN: MIXED-MEDIA SCULPTURE COURSE.

Design and create a stone-effect plaque for display in the home or garden

Commences: Tuesday 16th January 2018, 1-3:30 pm for four sessions.

Location:  Our ‘studio’ will be based in the wonderful surroundings of the Minster Church and Archbishop’s Palace, Southwell.  Drawing inspiration from its architectural splendour, we will learn how to use fabric and paper to design and create mixed-media sculpture to reflect the beauty of the Chapter House carvings and the other stone and wood carvings in the Minster.  Suitable for all abilities.

Tutor:  Sarah Harvey-Dobb, a Southwell-based artist and a qualified art teacher who specialises in painting and mixed-media sculpture.

At the end of this course you will have learned new or developed existing skills in drawing, painting and mixed-media sculpture and be able to create and take home a piece of unique art to display in your home or garden.

Cost: £7.50 per session (£30 per course). Free to all aged 19+ on means-tested benefit or proof of low income who live outside the Nottingham City Council boundaries. All materials provided. To book your place text ‘Southwell’ to 07989 302571 or for more information email: helen@brightideasnottingham.co.uk.
